SETAC NA Service Project

Wednesday 16 November 2011

1-7pm

Come join us for the 2011 service project sponsored by Weston Solutions!  This year’s project will involve salmon habitat restoration along Salmon Creek in Vancouver, WA.  We will be joining the Stream Team, a division of the Clark County Public Utility District (PUD).  Volunteers will have the opportunity to plant trees along sections of the creek, to the enhance salmon habitat,  and enjoy some beautiful Pacific Northwest weather and scenery (rain or shine!).  Each volunteer should anticipate planting between 20-40 trees during a 4 hour period, so if we have a large number of volunteers we will be able to get a lot accomplished.  The Stream Team will be providing trees, gloves, boots, digging tools, and snacks.  Please bring warm clothing and a rain jacket with a hood or a hat. Weston Solutions will be sponsoring transportation, a social event (including refreshments) after the service project, and tee-shirts for all of the volunteers.  This event will be free to the participants, so please get involved. You can sign up for the project when you register for the meeting. Space is limited to the first 45 volunteers. Lets make this the best SETAC North America service project to date!
